Collection: THE SBJ ARCHIVE

Every vintage piece is sourced from reputable and trusted dealers and undergoes a detailed authenticity check before being offered for sale. We carefully examine the engraving, case back, markings, construction, hardware, dial, hands and, where applicable, the movement and other identifying details of the piece.

We cross-check these details against the characteristics expected for the respective brand, model and period. We also carefully assess the overall condition and the accuracy for weeks before listing.

We take authenticity seriously and only offer pieces that, after our checks, we believe to be genuine.

Our Vintage Finds are pre-loved pieces with a history of their own. While age and previous use may naturally leave some signs of wear, we always strive to source pieces that are well-preserved, wearable and have been cared for, with the intention that they can continue to be treasured for years and, hopefully, passed down through generations.

We rarely source pieces with extreme fading, excessive wear or significant damage. When a piece does have more pronounced signs of age, they will always be clearly photographed and disclosed in the product description.

Every piece is photographed as accurately as possible, allowing you to see its actual condition, details, markings and any visible imperfections before purchasing.

Because these are vintage and pre-loved pieces, minor signs of age, patina, tiny marks or variations should not necessarily be considered defects. They are part of the character and history of a vintage piece.

We encourage you to carefully review all photographs and product details before purchasing, as each vintage find is unique and its condition will naturally vary.

Vintage watches are pre-owned timepieces, many of which are several decades old.

Each watch is checked and observed for timekeeping before it is listed and dispatched, to ensure it is functioning as expected at the time of sale.

As with any vintage or mechanical watch, servicing or adjustment may be required in the future. Due to their age and history, future movement performance, servicing requirements and water resistance cannot be guaranteed.

Each watch is presented in Starbearyjewels packaging. If a watch comes with its original box, papers, warranty card, tags or other accompanying documents, these will be photographed and clearly mentioned in the product description.

These are one-of-one pieces, individually sourced and available only while they are in our active collection. Once a piece is sold, we may archive its product listing and remove it from the active Vintage Finds collection after a certain period of time. 

Archived pieces are no longer available for purchase, but their product posts may remain on our social media as part of our past collection. Therefore, pieces featured on our social media may not always be available on our website.

Unless specifically mentioned or photographed, our vintage watches do not come with their original brand box due to their vintage nature. Each piece is securely packed in Starbeary Jewels’ own packaging before dispatch.
